Collaboration with wonder-yogi Charlie Morgan

We are super excited to announce our collaboration with wonderful yogi Charlie Morgan. Charlie, based in London is a sought-after teacher, taking classes at The Life Centre, Evolve, Yoga Haven, The Light Centre and Hot Pod Yoga. Charlie will be leading our Autumn Light retreat at Poundon House 4 – 6 November 2016.

We are thrilled to have Charlie leading this unique yoga retreat at Poundon House. Its going to be a peaceful weekend of immersive yoga, deliciously detoxing vegetarian food and relaxing treatments in a beautiful, peaceful setting, sprinkled with lots of fresh country air.
For our Autumn Light retreat at the beginning of November, we combine the wonder of Indian philosophy of yoga with the peace and quiet of a luxury country house. We will embrace the Autumnal season and harness and contain warmth from our retreat for the Winter. We plan this annual retreat close to Diwali, the Indian festival of lights and we bring as much light as we can into the retreat, evening yoga will be candlelit as will our evening meals in the beautiful Yellow Room. The retreat is a fantastic way to last the long stretch between Summer and Christmas

Hear more about Charlie..

I  have been practicing yoga on and off for 15 years, coming to it initially from a workout perspective. Following a life-changing trip to the Himalayan Yoga Institute in 2011, I decided to leave my job as an Assistant Buyer for The Disney Store and deepen my knowledge of yoga. In 2012, I became a certified teacher in Bali with WLYA – The Wise Living Yoga Academy (affiliated to The Yoga Institute of Santacruz, Mumbai, India – the world’s oldest organized yoga institution) and came back to set up my own studio in Somerset, UK. I now teach group classes at various top yoga centres and corporations in and around London and private one-to-ones. I am also currently the yoga instructor for the Harlequins rugby team. I also teach internationally at resorts and have recently set up a Yoga and Photography company called Sepia Lotus Retreats.

I cater the type of yoga I teach to the needs of each individual. However, my public classes involve an innovative and forever changing style of dynamic vinyasa flow. Although extremely fast-paced at times, I am a perfectionist when it comes to correct body alignment, the synchronisation of movement and breath and the  importance of a sumptuous, meditative relaxation. My classes are down-to-earth, fun, creative and challenging, but at the same time accessible, maintaining the philosophy that ‘yoga is for all’.

I have just started my yoga journey and I was so lucky that I met Charlie! From the very first class I loved yoga and Charlie. She is amazing, very sweet and professional. You can really see that yoga is her passion and she certainly knows what she is doing. Each of Charlie’s classes are different, but always wonderful, challenging, fun, with a lot of moves and very cool music. In the end of each class I always leave with the feeling that Charlie made me grow in my practice – both physically and mentally.I have just started my yoga journey and I was so lucky that I met Charlie!
